The Perrin 02-07 WRX & 04-07 STi rotated mount turbocharger kit is
one of the most comprehensive and best-designed on the market. The
Perrin rotated mount turbo kit utilizes redesigned exhaust and intake
plumbing to install a large Garrett Turbocharger on your WRX or STi,
without being limited by the stock under-the-manifold turbo inlet and
internal wastegate. Perrin's rotated turbo placement allows for
straight, unobstructed intake plumbing and fitment of even the biggest
turbochargers, like the Garrett GT40R!
Rotated Mount Uppipe & Downpipe:
Constructed
from mandrel bent 304 stainless steel with .500" CNC-cut flanges, the
Perrin rotated mount uppipe and downpipe are both tig-welded to the
highest quality standards. The Perrin rotated mount uppipe features 2"
diameter piping, and is flanged for an v-band Tial 44mm external
wastegate for precise boost control. The Perrin roated mount uppipe
will bolt to a stock exhaust manifold, or aftermarket header designed
for a factory 2-bolt uppipe; we suggest the Perrin equal-length exhaust
header for optimal performance.
Perrin's rotated-mount WRX & STi downpipe features full 3" piping,
all the way into the turbo, and is designed to recirculate the Tial
44mm wastegate back into the exhaust path, instead of using an external
dump. Recirculating the wastegate gases eliminates the risk of fire and
melting from engine bay heat, it also significantly reduces noise. The
slip-fit flange design allows for perfect fitment, and expansion under
the extreme post-turbo heat to resist cracking. At the downpipe's base,
is a 3" flat flange, that will bolt up to a stock exhaust or
stock-location aftermarket catback exhaust.

Rotated Mount Cold Air Intake: |
| Recently
added to the Perrin WRX & STi rotated-mount turbo kit is the 3"
cold air intake system. Designed to draw cold air from the fenderwell
directly into the Garrett turbocharger, without any restriction from a
MAF sensor, Perrin's new cold air intake will ensure optimal airflow
and increased power. In addition, the Perrin cold air intake system has
all the necessary fittings for the crankcase vents, valve cover
breathers, and emissions control hoses for direct installation. The
Perrin WRX & STi rotated mount cold air intake eliminates the MAF
sensor housing for optimal flow and minimal turbulence. Because of the
removal of the MAF housing from the intake tract, the Perrin turbo kit
requires that you switch to a blow-through MAF type system (where the
MAF sensor is placed in the intercooler piping), or convert to a full
speed density system, eliminating the MAF sensor entirely. Perrin makes
a blow-through intercooler pipe (sold separately) to make this
conversion a simple process that will make your Subaru perform better
and run more smoothly with a big turbo. |

Perrin WRX & STi rotated mount intake is constructed from 3"
aluminium pipe for optimal flow and minimal weight. It is available in
powdercoated red, powdercoated black, or polished finishes, so it looks
as good as it performs. The Perrin rotated mount cold air intake system
includes the proper sized turbocharger coupler, high-flow reusable foam
filter element, and silicone vacuum hoses for proper fitment and
installation. |

Tial 44mm V-Band External Wastegate w/ 14psi Spring: |
| For
precise boost control, the Perrin WRX & STi Garrett turbo kits use
a Tial 44mm wastegate. The Tial 44mm Wastegate uses v-band connections
to eliminate leaks and allow for installation in tight spaces (like the
WRX & STi engine bay). The 44mm design releases exhaust gases
faster, yielding spot-on boost control, and the valves are constructed
from temperature resistant materials for excellent heat-handling
characteristings. Loaded w/ a 14psi spring, this wastegate can be
pulled up to around 28psi with a conventional boost controller or
solenoid. If you need to go higher than that, an off-the-shelf Tial
spring is available for almost any pressure requirement. |

Garrett GT Series Dual-Ball Bearing Turbochargers: |
| Perhaps
the most rugged turbochargers on the market, Garrett's dual-ball
bearing turbochargers are designed for rapid spool due to their
ball-bearing cartridges, longevity due to their oil & water cooled
center cartridges and exhaust housing composition, and performance due
to their large size. The Garrett GT turbos have become a staple of
automotive performance, and are the basis for Perrin's WRX & STi
rotated mount kit. |
| Most
of the Garrett turbos Perrin offers are available in .63 & .82 AR
exhaust housings; .63 will yield faster spool with less top-end, while
a .82 housing will spool less rapidly but make more top-end power. With
many different size options available, Perrin is sure to have a Garrett
turbo to suit your needs. |

| In
addition, the Perrin rotated mount kit includes all the necessary
hardware, bolts, lines, and gaskets for proper installation. 02-05 EJ20
2.0L WRX owners will need to purchase an oil feed line, but all other
models will find all the necessary turbocharger hardware for kit
assembly in the package. |

NOTES:
1. The Perrin turbo kit either requires a Perrin front-mount
intercooler with blow-through MAF tube, or some form of engine
management that eliminates the MAF sensor.
This kit makes no provisions for the stock MAF sensor.
2. Engine managment, fuel system upgrades, and supporting modifcations are required with this kit.
3. Professional installation is strongly recommended; this is not a
task for beginners. We strongly suggest a shop familiar with Subaru
performance.
4. Tuning will be required with these kits.
5. We strongly recommend considering engine internal upgrades for those
looking to exceed 400whp on 2.5L cars (300whp on 2.0 WRXs).
6. As with all turbo kits, there is some "tweaking" / "elbow grease"
required for installation - i.e. trimming, unbolting, minor grinding,
etc. in varying degrees as each car is a little bit different. For this
reason, we suggest professional installation by a Subaru performance
shop.
7. 2005 STi models and all 5-speed models require some grinding of the
transmission housing for clearance and a soft bend in the dip-stick
sleeve for clearance.
8. This kit is designed for the Perrin front-mount intercooler and blow-through MAF tube.
9. Anything over a .63 GT3071R on a 2.0L will have lots of lag; the
EJ20 will require internal modifications for proper use of any of the
bigger turbos.
10. We recommend internal engine modifications for the GT3582R and above on the STi to maximize potential.
FITMENT:
1. Fits all 2004-2007 STi models; some STis (mostly 2005) require minor
grinding of the transmission casting for clearance - 2007 STIs require
an additional oil line.
2. 2002-2007 WRX and 2007 STi models: Require an additional oil line
for fitment (sold separately below), some grinding of the transmission
housing is required, and a bend in the dip-stick tube is required.
