The FP Green HTA turbocharger is a direct WRX/STi bolt-on upgrade that exhibits an incredible 400-450whp power capability while still maintaining exceptional spool response and efficiency. The new FP Green HTA features a Hydraulic Turbine Assisted (HTA) compressor technology, allowing the FP Green HTA to operate with less backpressure and lower compressor outlet temperatures to maximize low and mid-range rpm boost response. This means that the FP Green HTA compressor is capable of pushing a max volume of 56lb/min while still spooling just as fast as the former 49lb/min standard FP Green.
The FP Green HTA hotside is comprised of a TD06 8cm exhaust housing utilizing a 14.5psi (1bar) wastegate actuator and 34mm wastegate flapper, capable of filling your EJ with over 30psi of boost if called upon.
The FP Green HTA turbocharger is available with either a standard 2.4" compressor inlet or optional 3" housing for those running the large 3" turbo inlet systems. Please note that a 3" inlet requires removal of the tumble generator valve assemblies for proper fitment.
Like all Forced Performance Mitsubishi Race Turbos, the FP Green is fitted with the best quality thrust bearings made today. FP's upgraded steel bearings have over twice the surface area as a stock thrust bearing and are matched with oversize thrust collars for the most bullet resistant bearing stackup possible. Additionally all Forced Performance journal bearings are hand picked for size and coated with a unique antifriction coating for long life. An oil feed line is required to cool the FP Green HTA, and it differs between the 02-07 WRX & 04-07 STi; so please choose carefully when ordering.
The term "Green Model" or "Green turbo" are trademark protected terms used to describe this specific combination of turbocharger components, including FP's proprietary Heavy Duty thrust bearing system. Performance Characteristics: On a 2005 STi with identical fueling and supporting modifications, the FP Green HTA will has been tested to show gains of up to 30 mid-range wheel horsepower and torque when compared back to back with the standard FP Green turbo, all while showing nearly identical spool and boost response. Tuned to 21psi on pump gas, the FP Green HPA will yield peak horsepower in the 350-380 range on a 2.5 liter WRX or STi. With higher boost and race fuel, the FP Green HTA is well capable of 400-450 wheel horsepower. NOTE: The 2007+ STi will not work with the STi oil feed line, and requires 02- and up wrx feed.
